Botswana is sometimes overlooked for game viewing, but the diversity in wildlife and scenery in its game parks is second to none. Chobe National Park offers unique wilderness that will leave indelible memories of spectacular wildlife and evenings spent around a campfire under millions of stars.

What makes this trip responsible? Most of the tour is spent camping which reduces our energy consumption for the whole trip. We also source all of the food used while camping locally. Furthermore, whilst camping, the leaders ensure that we minimize the impact as much as possible by such things as clearing up camping areas after use. We pay the mandatory park fees which contribute to the conservation of the parks and surrounding areas.

Day 1: Serondella Area, Chobe National Park

Upon your arrival in Kasane, you will be warmly welcomed by our representatives who will drive you into the Chobe National Park for camping in the Chobe National Park. Chobe National Park was established in 1968 and it covers approximately 11 7 00 sq. km, encompassing floodplains, swamps, and woodland. The Chobe River forms its northern boundary. There are four distinct geographical areas in the park: the Chobe Riverfront, the Ngwezumba Pans, Savuté, and Linyanti.

The most accessible and frequently visited of Botswana’s big game country, the Chobe

Riverfront is most famous for its large herds of elephants, Cape buffalo, lions, and leopards just to mention a few which during the dry winter months converge upon the river to drink. We will do a game drive in transit to the Chobe Riverfront campsite.

Our private campsite is on a Teak Forested dune that overlooks this beautiful Chobe River. Game drives are taken in the afternoons and mornings along the magnificent Chobe River.

We later drive back to camp for lunch. In the afternoon we do a sunset boat cruise in the Chobe River which snakes through the Chobe National Park.

This amazing experience allows you to get a closer look at the aquatic animals and birds not easily approached on safari.

After the relaxing cruise, we drive back to camp. On your return to camp, there is time for a hot bush shower before we gather for our evening meal and then move to the campfire and share stories of the day’s adventures.
