Moremi Game Reserve is one of the best wilderness of Botswana covering swamp and dry areas. Moremi was in 2008 voted the best Game Reserve in Africa by the Prestigious African Travel and Tourism Association at South Africa’s premier tourism fair INDABA. First-ever reserve in Africa to be established by local residents.
Moremi is situated on the central and eastern area of the Okavango and includes the Moremi Tongue and the Chief's Island, boasting one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems on the continent. Moremi is home to over 400 species of birds, many migratory and some endangered. Both white and black rhinos have been re-introduced now making the reserve a ‘BIG FIVE’ destination.
Game drives in the early mornings as the sun rises and in the late afternoons as the sun sets are a norm. Game drives will be conducted along the channels of the Okavango Delta with an option of boat cruise and Mokoro excursion.
